1) Hope all who attended found the College Media Convention New York City conference enjoyable and enlightening. 2) You should have all received your CBI membership information. Sorry for the delays, but the sooner you return your information and fees, the sooner this organization becomes legitimate and vibrant. 3) Mark your calendars and add to your budgets the CMA/CBI National Conference in New Orleans October 25-28. For more information go to www.collegemedia.org. 4) Station operation notes from the NAB Legal Calendar April 2 All stations: Daylight Savings Time begins. By April 10 All stations: Place the Issues/Programs List for the January 1 - March 31, 2000, calendar quarter in your public inspection file. All commercial TELEVISION stations: Electronically file the Children's TV Programming Report (FCC Form 398) for the January 1 - March 31, 2000, calendar quarter. Place a copy of it AND documentation regarding children's programming commercial time for the January 1 -March 31, 2000, calendar quarter in your public file. 5) It's that busy time of year for us all: Spring Breaks, student elections, staff transitions, seniors looking for jobs. If anyone has questions on any topic, please post to the listserve. Odds are a dozen other stations are going through the same trials and tribulations and could also use some help. 6) Spring is near (editorial comment for those of us in the winter belt).
